J+K Nail Polish

Look at these beauties that Joyce, the maker of J+K Nail Polish sent me.
They are absolutely gorgeous. Joyce uses a good quality base for her polishes.
They dry super fast and are easy to work with. Really great indie polishes.
The brushe in the mini bottles is just a smidgen smaller than the full size brush.

J+K - Frou Frou, Pluto and a New Polish from J+K Fall collection: Diamonte!

Diamonte has a clear base with black rombus shaped glitters and
iridescent glitters that flash mainly in blue, green, orange and pink.

I applied J+K - Diamonte over a sponged base done with
China Glaze - Unpredectable, Deviantly Daring and Emarald Fritzgerald. I applied
one coat of Orly - Polishield and one coats of Seche Vite to smooth it out.

Next J+K mini polish is called Pluto. A deep green shimmer polis, that
is opaque in 2 coats. And I believe it is from the Mysterious Mini Collection.

I did not apply any top coat on this one for the photos. And I regret
that, as the beauty of this polish really comes to life when top coat is
applied. I've had a similar green polish before, but it dried up and
got gloopy, had to toss it. So I am glad to have this one now.

J+K - Frou Frou is absolutely dreamy and enchanting. What can I say
other than I just fell in love with this polish as soon as I put it on my nails. It
has a slightly tinted, light purple base, with holographic glitters in various
sizes, light purple and silver glitters and large light blue hex glitters.

The funny thing is that purple is not my favorite color, so I started out
with it. But as soon as I was done with the manicure was like "Oh no, I
don't want to removet it". And I didn't. - Sorry Joyce for procrastinating.
But your polishes are simply too pretty to just swatch and remove.

I applied J+K - Frou Frou over OPI - Planks A Lot.
And it was the perfect light purple shade for the job.
Applied 1 coat of Orly - Polishield to smooth it out.

Gosh, I got Polish!

Gosh - (No Label), Special Edition Gosh - 612 Galaxy and Gosh - 008 Berry Me

My first GOSH nail polishes. These are great colors for fall. Using
GOSH Special Edition - 008 Berry Me and 612 Galaxy and a GOSH
polish where the lable is missing I did a Tape Manicure. Very easy polish
to work with that dries fast and has a good brush. Levels out nicely when
applied. All three polishes only needs a couple of coats to be opaque.
With the military green polish you can probably get away with one coat
on shorter nails. The berry color is not a jelly but not a creme eather.

You have probably heard of Nail Art Stencils. I was thinking that
why can't I make my own using Paper Punchers. I have three shapes,
heart, star and butterfly. I didn't feel the butterly would go with the colors.
I went with the star and heart, even thought you can probably free hand
them, as wanted to try out something new, and see if it works.

I started this manicure by painting my nails and letting them dry
completelyWith the heart- and star-tape, that I had prepared, applied
on my nails polished over the tape and waited a few seconds before I
carefully removed itI also outlined the hearts and stars with polish using
thin nail art brush. I used the tip of the heart to get a pointed corner.

GOSH - Galaxy is interesting with its blackened base
color and different color shimmers in copper, gold, purple,
fuschia and I even saw green shimmer in some lighting.

What do I think of GOSH Nail Polish?
I like them, and would definitely recommend them to others.
My only regret is that I have not tried them earlier. They are easy
to use and dry quickly. I did not have any issues when using them.

Free Hand Nail Art - NOTW

Robin Moses known from YouTube posted a picture on Facebook of a tutorial
on how to do these beatiful birds sitting on a tree branch. I just had to give it a try.
But I didn't look at the tutorial I just saw the photos once and did this manicure
using the same idea. And I LOOOOOVE love love this design. I got so many
compliments and people looking at my nails and I felt so pretty with them.

Left Hand

If you want to have a go at this design you can check out

Left hand

I did this design in a rush as I had to get it done before I had to head out
the door. Didn't want to leave with naked nails. So I will for sure do this design
again, taking it slow, using the full spectrum colors and following the tutorial.
It would have been so much easier if I had looked at the tutorial first.
Somwhow I did a better job on the birds on my right hand, below.

Pie won Sonoma Nail Art Polishes!

Left to Right: Mustard Fields, Wine Country Wedding, Bubble Room, Pinot Envy and Russian River.

A while ago Threads For Teens on Facebook had a Giveaway that I won.
The fabulous prize was 5 Indie Nail polishes from Sonoma Nail Art'core line.
It is the lovely Michelle that is the creator of these beatiful hand made polishes.

Mustard Fields, Wine Country Wedding, Bubble Room, Pinot Envy

You can find Sonoma Nail Art on Facebook and the polishes you can buy from
her Etsy StoreIt's a good idea to keep an eye on the Facebook Page to get the
latest info of new creations and when the shop gets re-stocked. I happen to know
she has new Collection in the making. Also chek out her blog: Sonoma Nail Art.

Wine Country Wedding, Bubble Room, Pinot Envy, Russian River

These polishes are meant to be layered ontop of an other nail
polish. On the Sonoma Nail Art Facebook Page there are great
macro shoots of the polishes so go check them out there.

Left to Right: Mustard Fields, Wine Country Wedding, Bubble Room, Pinot Envy and Russian River.

Each of Sonoma Nail Art Polishes are insired by something in Sonoma
County. Russian River is a river that runs through most part of the county,
past farms and vineyards and eventually empties into the Pacific Ocean.

Mustard Fields is in reference to the crops of mustard
flowers that pop up between the vineyard rows every spring.

Sonoma County is very popular place to have wedding,
so that was the inspiration for Wine Country WeddingAnd
Bubble Room and Pinot Envy are inspired by the wines made
here, sparkling wine for Bubble Room and pinot noir for Pinot Envy.

Do you own any Sonoma Nail Art polishes, or have any on your wishlist?
