Hiding imperfections

On my nails

Misstakes can make cool Manicures. So what happend is that I got bubbles in the nail polish, felt lazy and didn't feel like redoing them. But the base was just not looking great. What to do? Had to come up with something quick and easy that would cover my misstakes. I took out my Nail Foils and went to town. Covered up the mess with a new kind of intentional mess.

Products used:

Eyeko - Coral Polish for resort nails (Discontinued)
Nail Foil - Opal Swirl, Gold Spectrum and Silver Starburst

Hit pan?

Use it up!

I thought my tube of concealer was empty, because I could not squeeze out anything. Decided to open it. Didn't like the brush at the top anyway, had already cut the bristles when it was new.

Empty?

No, it was not empty. There were plenty in there. Squeezed it out into a container. Been using it for weeks. Still have loads left in the tube that I digg out with a brush. Don't want to waste it.

Purge

I'm on a mission. The accumulation of beauty products has to stop. In order to do that I want to hit pan on the products I have. Makeup and beauty products does have a shelf life and best by date, so eventually it gets old. Time for project Hit Pan and a Purge of old products.

How about you?
Do you want to use up every drop?
Or can't be bothered?

Damask stamping with Matte Top Coat

A Manicure from February 2018

Products used:
Base Coat From Yves Rocher
Konad Special Polish - Black
XL Image Plate Drikk from Brazil - DRK-A
Wet n Wild - Ebony hates Chris
Savina Matte Top Coat
Konad Top Coat
Seche Vite Top Coat
Silver Color Rhinestone

I started out with a Pinkish Base Coat. Over that I stamped with Konad Black. Then I added the tips with Wet n Wild. I used a nail art brush for the pointer. Plus I added the rhinestone.
On the accent nail i stamped with a Matte Top Coat on shiny black Nail Polish.

From Born Pretty Store:
Silicone Stamping Mat. Product ID: #4555
Nail Art Brush. Product ID 465

Testing stamping with Matte Top Coat on the Silicone Stamping Mat from Born Pretty Store.
I did not stamp quick enough on the nails, so the polish dried a bit and did not leave as crisp of a stamp on the nails as on the Stamping mat. I had to lign up the stamper with the nail to get it straigt and it was a bit hard when you don't see the polish on the stamper very well, as the Matte Top Coat is see through. On the Mat I just winged it as I was only testing.

Spring has Sprung

On my Nails this Week

We had the first warm day that felt like Spring the other day over here in Sweden and I had to wear something fresh and springlike.

OPI - Fiercely Fiona
3 coats

Took forever to dry even with Seche Vite Fast drying Top Coat.
It is a creamy yellow with Green, or shall we say Blue undertones. It is on the right side of Yellow, leaning Green, for me to like it.
Goes great with Purple/Plum colors.

Swatches of Chocolate Orange Eyeshadow Palette

Placed an order at Tam Beauty and got home this Palette among other items. When just looking at the eyeshadows in the pans it does not look that orange. When swatched this is very much an Orange eyeshadow Palette - with Browns, Coppers and Rust colours. It does have a scent to it, but it is more like a chemical Orange, rather than actual orange.

I've only swatched it so far. Of all the shadows I like Clementine the best. Nice and smooth. Haven't had a chance to try them on my eyes yet. So will see how they perform. Usually I can make just about anything work. Just have to when you are on a budget. Been using the orange and red shades from Chocloate Vice, the Black Chocolate Palette and from the New-Trals vs Neutrals Palette. So I thought I might give this Chocolate Orange palette a run for its money.

Swatches are devided in the Left side of the Palette and the
Right side of the Palette. Hope that makes sense.
Did the swatches with my fingers. Photos are taken in natural day light.

Swatches Top Left to Right:
It's Mine, Clementine, Gift, Tap It, Lush, Smash, Peel and Dessert

Swatches Bottom Left to Right:
Chocolate Orange, Ribbon, Silky Smooth, Segment, Pip Orange, Nibble and In One
