Magic Pop-Up Pen Review and Photos

Today I will tell you what I found out asking friends on Facebook what to
do with these Magic Pop-Up pens. As the hairdryer did not work, I figured
there had to be an other way. Someone suggested I could try and put it in
the microwave. I did a new card and pimped it with the popcorn pen.

POPCORN!

It really worked. I "poped" (pun intended) the card into the Micro
and on full effect I had it in there for maybe a minute. I think anything
from 30sec to 2 minutes is good. As you see above the green
color did not puff up like the others. I had to do a new test.

Thinking the Green color might now work as good as the Yellow,
Orange and Red, I did a test with all the colors. And found out that all of
them does puff up. Maybe it was the small amount on the green dots that
was the reason for it not to pop. I have no idea. I have to keep on trying.

Even with the nozzle on the pen it is hard to get an even flow because you have
to squeeze the tube. But I guess practice makes perfect. Even with that in mind
I think this product is really fun. Making big shapes or flowers on your cards
and crafts and puffing them in the Microwave oven gives your work that
special touch. This product will be a great addition to your craft supplies.

Magic Pop-Up Pen First Impressions

Born Pretty Store sent me these MagicPop-Up Pens for review.
First problem was understanding how this product actually works as the
explanation is in a language I can't read or understand. I did some googling
and asked friends and tried a few things. I will post my findings in two
separate posts on my blog. Part two will be tomorrow so stay tuned.

How I went about

I started out by doing a simple card I wanted to decorate. Not knowing how the
products would react or behave I did not use my best paper as this would be my
first testI did some stamping on the paper and went on to add some popcorn pen.

Looking at the box there was a few things I could make out from it.
For example:1000W, 20cm, 2-3. Guessing the 1000W is meaning
some kind of tool/machine, 20cm beeing the distance and 2-3 beeing
minutes. Googling for some information this seemed like a good option.
I took out my hairdryer (1200W) and went on to heat the paper.

Nothing happened. Well not much anyway. Went in closer on
the paper with the hairdryer and for several minutes. Still not much.
I was a bit dissapointed as I thought this could be really cool.

I did not give up. Went on facebook in search of people who
would be able to read the explanation and tell me what to do. Or
someone who has tried this product. What I found out and how my
experiment continues you can find out tomorrow in a new post.

The name "pen" is a bit missleading as it is more of a nossle like glitter glue would have.

Born Pretty Store has lots of different products for you to explore.
Why don't you have a look and if you find something don't forget to use the code!

Flower Bouquet

This is what I did today.
My first try ever at doing a drop shaped bouquet using a Oasis Holder.

I think it came out relly nice. Concidering that I have never
got any schooling in doing flower arrangements.

The flowers aren't fresh and I did noth ave any green to fill out with.
I used "old" flowers 'cause I just wanted to see if I can do this.

Sometimes you just have to try things. I was surprised.

What do you think?
How did I do?

Bracelets by Ida Pie

Can you tie knots?
Then you can do something like this.

This is what I did past sunday to my mother.
It is quick, easy and fun. And it looks nice.

I also made this box for her to put them in.

These following bracelets I have made before.

I like to wear  atleast two
or more bracelets at a time.

Color coordinated beads.

I useed an old necklace
and bought some new beads.

You can also do these without the beads.
Just tie the knots. That looks cool too.

Here I chose red as an accent color.
It really pops out.

Mixing size and shape of the beads
brings life to the design.

To open you just pull the bracelet.
Pull the beads to close.
It is that easy.

This is what I use
when I make the Macrame bracelets.
