Swatches of Chocolate Orange Eyeshadow Palette

Placed an order at Tam Beauty and got home this Palette among other items. When just looking at the eyeshadows in the pans it does not look that orange. When swatched this is very much an Orange eyeshadow Palette - with Browns, Coppers and Rust colours. It does have a scent to it, but it is more like a chemical Orange, rather than actual orange.

I've only swatched it so far. Of all the shadows I like Clementine the best. Nice and smooth. Haven't had a chance to try them on my eyes yet. So will see how they perform. Usually I can make just about anything work. Just have to when you are on a budget. Been using the orange and red shades from Chocloate Vice, the Black Chocolate Palette and from the New-Trals vs Neutrals Palette. So I thought I might give this Chocolate Orange palette a run for its money.

Swatches are devided in the Left side of the Palette and the
Right side of the Palette. Hope that makes sense.
Did the swatches with my fingers. Photos are taken in natural day light.

Swatches Top Left to Right:
It's Mine, Clementine, Gift, Tap It, Lush, Smash, Peel and Dessert

Swatches Bottom Left to Right:
Chocolate Orange, Ribbon, Silky Smooth, Segment, Pip Orange, Nibble and In One

Tips and Tools for a Clean, Fresh and Beautiful Manicure!

Here's a few tips that has helped me get picture ready Nails and a Manicure that lasts for days.

※ A Cuticle pusher to gently push back your cuticles with. Best done after shower/bath/hand soak so that the skin is soft. (Have you tried rubbing them with sugar or a clean tootbrush?)
I like the stainless steel one. Easy to clean and keep clean!

※ Cotton pads to wipe your nails with acetone, nail polish remover or spirit prior to painting them. Makes your Manicure last longer. An other tip is to add Top Coat at least every other day.

※ An Orangewood stick can be used to wipe away polish from the cuticles and the sides of your nails and fingers. (To remove nail polish from the Orangewood stick I use a nail file and sand it down).
A cotton bud/cotton swab can also be used for clean up.

※ A small flat Brush dipped in Acetone/Nail Polish Remover is really helpfull to clean any polish residue you still have around your nails, that you did not get with the orangewood stick or cotton bud, to really get that crisp and clean finish.
(I started out with an artist brush for painting. Still use it for glitters and holographic polishes).

※ Use Cuticle cream or oil to nourish and moisturize your cuticles with. One of the reasons I like Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream is because it smells Lemony Fresh. Don't forget hand cream!

That's a few steps to get you started!

Barbie Look Book #9

Handmade Items for Barbie Dolls

Barbie is wearing a strappless top with a cotton lace at the waist. Over it she wears a green cardigan made out of my old cardigan. The wide skirt is sewn from a soft cotton fabric from Tilda, with a large floral print on it. I made the clutch out of teal coloured Fish Leather.

The necklace I made out of teal coloured seed beads and drop beads. To match it all up I painted her pink shoes into a nice teal colour with a black sole. I just love how they turned out. And I eally like how this look pulls togeather different shades of green. Love it!

To finish the look I tied a forrest green cotton lace ribbon to her hair and put on a pair of teal colored eyewear that I changed the color of myself. They used to be pink. Se pic below.

Nikki is wearing a loose fit white top with a Boat Neck. I paired it with red trousers that has a flower print. The pants are made out of a soft cotton fabric from Tilda. In her hand she has a faux leather jacket, that is made out of a material with give. It has a nice worn look to it. The cross body fringe bag is made out of brown suede. The suede is cut into thin slithers to make the fringe. The strap is braided out of the same brown suede.

The three rows of necklases are made out of red seed beads and bugle beads. The cuff bracelet comes from a Barbie accessories pack. The three bracelets on her right arm are made to fit, out of tiny seed beads. I tied a cotton lace ribbon in a teal color to her pony tail. The sneakers used to be pink, but I painted them in a cream color and did details in coral and teal.

Barbie Look Book #7

Handmade Items for Barbie Dolls

The Barbie is wearing a green top with a leaf print on it. It is made out of a soft cotton material from Tilda. Over it she is wearing a vest sewn of Ultrasuede, a synthetic microfiber fabric. The thin belt is made of a shiny fake leather, and ith closes in the back with velcro. The beige knee leangth skirt is finished off with a cotton lace trim.

The handbag I made out of tiny Miyuki Delica Seed Beads. I attached chains with jump rings as the handles. I tied a cotton lace ribbon in her hair because I wanted to hide the silver earrings this model comes with. (Anyone know her name? She is from the Barbie I can be Fashion Models Pack). To finish off the look I pared this outfit with nude shoes that I painted. The bracelet is made to fit from small seed beads. It can not be taken off, unless cut off.

Barbie Look Book #6

Handmade Items for Barbie Dolls

Barbie is wearing an off the shoulder crop top with a stylized flower print. On top of that she has a bolero jacket paired with a pair of orange knee length shorts with printed trees and flowers on them. They are all made out of soft cotton material from Tilda. I used dark blue suede to make the cluth. The front is cut with zig-zag scissors. The belt is a piece of velvet ribbon.

For the three strand necklace I used red seed beads with a yellow luster to them, and red drop  beads. It closes in the back with a gold clasp. The three bracelets are made out of tiny sead beads made to fit, and they do not come off, unless cut off. I did not have to do anything to the shoes, they are in their original colour and match perfectly.

Barbie Look Book #5

Handmade items for Barbie Dolls

Chandra is wearing a strapless top that closes in the back with velcro. It is made out of a soft cotton material from Tilda. Over it she has a cotton lace cardigan that has a belt out of a slither of suede leather. I used a brown soft faux leather to sew the pants and they have a worn look to them. The handbag is sewn out of a brown faux fur.

The shorter necklase Chandra is wearing is made with different sized seed beads in a metallic color. The longer necklace is made out of chain and it has a pendant with bugle beads at the bottom hanging from it. In her hair she is wearing a cotton lace ribbon. Her earrings are what she came with. The shoes used to be black but I painted them brown and red, and I really like how they turned out. It looks a bit like they have wear and tear, but in a good way.

Barbie Look Book #4

Here is the 4th outfit with my creations. Let's have a look at what we got.

Barbie is wearing a strapless flower print romper with green velvet ric rac ribbon. It has an elastic band at the top and at the waist. It is made out of a soft cotton fabric from Tilda. She is wearing a velvet belt that closes in the back with velcro. I have sewn the backpack out of shiny thin fake leather. It has a real zipper, so that it can be opened and you can put things in there.

This Barbie had holes in her ears so I made her silver chain earrings with dangles. The necklace is silver chain with two big glass beads at the ends. The copper sandals are from a Barbie accessories back and they are in their original colour.

Barbie Look Book #3

In the series of my "Handmade Items for Barbie Dolls" we have come to the third outfit.

Summer is wearing a blue sleeveless knee lenght dress with small printed flowers. It is sewn out of a soft cotton material from Tilda. As a belt I braided yarn and tied it at her hip. In the middle photo above she is wearing a blue bolero made out of cotton lace. And in the photo to the righ she is wearing a beige cardigan made of a knit material

Handmade Items for Barbie Dolls

My sister made the handbag for Summer. It is crocheted with silver yarn. Her necklaces I made out of silver chains, one with a feather pendant and the other with a faceted glass bling bling pendant. The three bracelets are made out of tiny glass beads, made to fit her wrist and they do not come off, unless you cut them off.

I have glued on a rhinestone to her finger. She used to have a grey ring there, so I wanted to cover the hole. I just think this looks cuter. Summer is wearing pink shoes to this outfit to match the flowers in her dress, they are in their original colour. The glasses comes from a Barbie accessories pack and I gave them just a tad bit more colour, so that they would stand out more. Before and after pics below.

Barbie Look Book #2

Handmade Items for Barbie Dolls

I would like to show you the clothes, bags and jewellery that I made for Barbie dolls. I even painted shoes to match.

Barbie is wearing a strappless dress with blue and white stripes and pink gerbera flowers. It is made out of a soft cotton material from Tilda. The white belt is made of a leather glove and it has a buckle from an old shoe. Ultrasuede, a synthetic microfiber fabric, is used to make the pale blue bag. The scarf is a piece from an actual scarf that I have that I jst cut off.

I made three long necklaces for Barbie. One is made out of silver coloured beads and I threaded on a silvery heart. The second necklace I made out of white and cream coloured beads with a heart pendant. The third one is made out of red, pink and green beads and i put on a red heart pendant. The bracelet is from a Barbie accessories pack. I tied a strip of lace in her hair. The shoes were white, but I painted them to give them a different hue.
