Nail Foil NOTD

I got these foils a while ago from a giveaway
that Born Pretty Store had.

Products used for application

I cleaned my nail with alcohol and let it dry before I applied the self adhesive foil.

I used a cuticle pusher to smooth out the foil. Or atleast I tried.
The problem is that my nails have a strong C-curve and that makes application of foils difficult.

Someone with more "flat" nails will have an easier application.

I applied Sally Hansen Lift Preventer trying to seal the foil. But the problem was that I was not able to apply the foil smoothly to my nails. So I had the edges catching on everything and I ended ripping the foils off after 1 day of wear. Came off easily. I don't know if I was supposed to apply heat to the foil after applying it. The instructions did not say.

As I liked the design of the foil I saved the pieces I cut of and did a Pedi with the "left overs". I still have some left and I will try to apply them on my tips sort of like a "French Manicure"

And I urge you NOT to click the toe-picture.
Or you will have nightmares for the rest of your life. Let's just leave it at that.

on how I applied the Foils

Block Color NOTW Inspired by Shoes

I found this shoe picture in the news paper a while a go.
Somehow it inspired me to do a Manicure.

I used e.l.f Desert Haze and China Glaze - Riveter Rouge
to create a block color manicure.

I started off with Sally Hansen Nail Quecher as base and applied
2-3 coats of e.l.f Desert Haze on top of that. When it had dried I applied
China Glaze - Riveter Rouge. Alternating the pattern between
the tip and the base of the nails. This might have worked better
if I had used tape. So I did on the thumb and pinky. But somehow
I still managed to mess it up. And if that was not enough - I did not
wait long enough for the polish to dry so there was a bit of smudging.

China Glaze - Riveter Rouge

e.l.f - Desert Haze

This is a really simple design to do. And usefull
as somethimes I can feel that a red nail (or any dark color)
might be a bit too much to wear on long nails.
Yay for fall - this is a time when the darker polishes
come out to play. I have to use this color combo again.

What is your go-to color for fall nails?
