Daytime look using Coastal Scents Products

A picture tutorial using Hot Pot Eyeshadows, 6 Countour
Blush Palette and Makeup Brushes from Coastal Scents.

Peach Puff and Chamois Nude

With a large flat shader brush I applied Peach Puff first and then Chamois
Nude under my brow and using a pencil brush the same colors on the lower lid.

Applying Peach Puff and Chamois Nude under my brow and lower lid.

Victoran Pear and Spiceberry

Using a flat shader brush I applied Victorian Pear on the center
of my eyelid. With a fluffy crease brush I applied Spiceberry in the
crease and on the outer corner of the lower lid with a pencil brush.

Applying Spiceberry in the crease and lover lid.

Vanilla Sky and Black Berry

Using a pencil brush Vanilla Sky was applied to the inner corner to brighten up the
eyes, and with a flat shader brush as a hightlight under the highest point of the brow.

Applying Vanilla Sky as a Higlight under the brow
and Blackberry in the outer corner to intensify the look.

To darken up the outer corner of the eyelids I used Black Berry and
flat shader brush. I curled my lashes and instead of a khol pencil or
any kind of liner I used Black Berry on the lash line for softer look.

Applying Black Berry to the lash line

The reason why I curl my lashes prior to applying any liner, is that I want to get as
close to the lashline as possible with the curler. And I have noticed that the liner gets
smudged if I curl my lashes after applying liner, and then I would re-apply anyways.

6 Contour Blush Palette

I contoured my cheeks and face blending the dark brown from the
6 Contour Blush Palette and the peachy shade next to it. As blush
I used the dusty rose color on the other side of the dark brown.

Contouring and applying blush

What I love about the 6 Contour Blush Palette is that all the shades
are matte. I don't care too much about any shimmery contour products
or blushes with heavy glitter or shimmer. So this palette is perfect for me.
If I want a hint of shimmer I can easily add that ontop of these shades.

Two Makeup Brushes, 6 Contour Blush Palette, Hot Pot Palette (except 4 Hot Pot Eyeshadows and a
Free Sample of Mineral Eye Shadow)
was sent for review and tutorial purpose from Coastal Scents.

Costal Scents Haul

A while ago I bought a LivingSocial deal for Coastal Scents.
I got $25 to Spend Online on Cosmetics, Bath, and Body Products
and only paid half. This is what I bought: Four Hot Pot Eyeshadows,
a Mystery box worth $50 and the entire Coat Nail Polish Collection.
And NO I did not get all this for $25 - I wish. But it was a bit more.

Hot Pot Eyeshadow

Hot Pot shadows I bought: Sand Storm, Aluminum Taupe, Victorian Pear and
Cherry Moss. I also got a free Sample of Mineral Eyeshadow in the shade: Vampin'
Blue. I got two more Hot Pots, M10 and M21, from the Splendid Mystery Box.

Mystery Box

As I have not tried anything from Coastal Scents before I thought that buying the
Mystery Box could pay off. And it did. I really like what I got in my box. And from
what I know the content of the box alters. Thinking of getting more boxes I am...

First I was thinking of buying a couple of brushes. But then changed my mind and
got the Mystery box instead. Guess if I am totally pleased with that decision as got
a bunch of makeup brushes in the mystery box and a lot more stuff ontop of that.

This is my favorite style of lashes. I have a pair like this that I have
been using a lot. But only on the outer corner of my eye as I cut the
lash in 3. These new lashes I will not cut and will wear them full on.

Also included in the Mystery Box was three eyeshadows called:
Squeeze Me, Bloom and Lagoon Mist. A blush called: True Blush
(I think that is the name). A Lip Pencil in the shade: Prune. And
a Pristine Cleansingblend with Grapefruit & Green Tea Extract.

COAT Nail Polish Collection

Lets end this post with a photo of the entire COAT
Nail Polish Collection with 27 nail polishes. BOOM!

Effie's Trinket - EOTD

Here comes the 3rd look done with a FEVERshadow. This is the last one from
the Hunger Games Trio - Effie's Trinket. Casandra was nice enough to send
me samples of the Collection for review. See the post Here. The previous EOTD
posts can be seen by clicking the names Rue's Wildflowers & District 12 Soot.

I started out with primer/base and the applied a matte skintoned eye
shadow under my brow and down into the inner corner. As the focus
here is one shadow - Effie's Trinket - I have applied it all over the upper
(and lower) lid and blended it out in the crease and beond. District 12 Soot
has been applied close to the lashline as an eyeliner. As a highlight I have
used a light shimmery eyeshadow under the highest point of my brow and
in the inner corner of my eye. I curled my lashes and applied mascara.
The makeup was applied using ELF and Sigma Beauty Makeup Brushes.

District 12 Soot - EOTD

Here comes an other look done with a FEVERshadow. This time it is
District 12 Soot from the Hunger Games Trio. Casandra was nice enough
to send me samples of the Collection for review. And you can have a look at
that HereRue's Wildflowers - EOTD post can be viewed by Clicking Here

I started out with a primer and base. Applied a matte skintoned eyeshadow
under my brow and to my inner corner. Then I applied District 12 Soot all over
my lid area and into the crease. I blended the dark color using Rue's Wildflowers.
The same was done on the lower lid. As highlight under the highest point of my
brow and inner corner I used a light shimmery eyeshadow. I thightlined with a
black khol pencil and I used it on my waterline too. I curled my lashes and
applied mascara. If I wasn't out of lashglue I would have applied false lashes.
The makeup was applied using ELF and Sigma Beauty Makeup brushes.

Rue's Wildflowers - EOTD

I want to share with you a new look I did with mainly one of the
FEVERshadows I recieved for review. This is Rue's Wildflowers from the
Hunger Games Trio. You can look at my Review post by Clicking Here!

This is how I created the look:
I used a ELF primer and NYX Jumbo Pencil white as base. Then I applied a
matte shadow in the color of my skin from the brow down to my crease the inner
corner of my eye. Rue's Wildflowers from The Hunger Games Trio was applied
all over the lid and into the crease and also on the lower lid. I took a small
amount of District 12 Soot from the same trio to darken up the outer corner.

I curled my lashes and applied a dark purple eyeliner from ELF and used
Rue's Wildflowers on top to set it. I did the same to my lover lid. I used the
same eyeliner on my waterline. Under the highest point of my brow and the
inner corner of my eye I applied a highlight. And I applied a coat of Mascara.
All this was applied using ELF and Sigma Beauty Makeup Brushes.

Hunger Games Eyeshadow Trio from FEVERshadow

District 12 Soot, Rue's Wildflowers and Effie's Trinket

Casandra over at FEVERlacquer was looking for swatchers of her new
eye shadows. I said that I was up for it. And she sent me sample baggies
of her NEW Hunger Games Eyeshadow Trio from FEVERshadow.

First stripe is with no primer or base. I dipped a brush into the sample bag
and did two swipes and dabbed on the product. The second swatch is done
over NYX Jumbo Pencil in MilkThe photos of the swatches are taken in
natural light. The shadows are nicely pigmented and they are easy to blend.

District 12 Soot, Rue's Wildflowers and Effie's Trinket

District 12 Soot is a dark brownish black with subtle shimmer

Rue's Wildflowers is a soft pinkish purple with a blue sheen.
Effie's Trinket is a bold coppery gold with purple shimmer.

District 12 Soot, Rue's Wildflowers and Effie's Trinket

This is what Casandra the creator has to say about
the shadows, and it reveals the inspiration to the colors:

District 12 Soot (matte coal soot black with brown highlights),
covering the district from the mines to the fence.
Rue's Wildflowers (sheer silky iridescent violet with pink highlights),
violet like the wildflowers Katniss dressed Rue in.
Effie's Trinket (rich silky metallic gold with hot pink sparkles),
much like Effie herself... bold and colorful!

The sparkles of Effie's Trinket can be
seen in the lower part of the photo.

Lets have a look at what I came up with using all three
of the shadows. The photos are taken in various lighting
showing how they will appear in different light conditions.

I applied Effie's Trinket all over the lid and District 12 Soot in the
outer corner of the eye blending it into the crease and also as a liner
close to the lash line. Rue's Wildflowers I applied under the eye.
I used Sigma Beauty makeup brushes to apply the eye shadow.

NEW Hunger Games Eyeshadow Trio from FEVERshadow

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil - 604 Milk and 617 Iced Mocha

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil

Here is the second part of pictures and swatches that
promised to show you in my recent Cosmetic Haul.

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in 617 Iced Mocha and 604 Milk

They glide on nice and easy and usually I just blend them with my
finger. I use them under my eyeshadow. They don't crease even
without a base. The only problem is that I don't have the "special"
sharpener that NYX has for these Pencils. But I saw a tutorial on
how to "depot" these. I might have to try that so I get to use them.
