Nubar - Sexy Red Swatched

Here comes pictures and swatches of the final nail polish from
my Nail Polish and Eyeshadow HaulThis is Nubar - Sexy Red.

Sexy Red is a Jelly. The polish is easy to apply. I applied 3 coats with no
problem. But if you hate visible nail line you might want to apply "underwear".
I personally love a jelly over a metallic lacquer, cause it gives the polish a glow.

I found a blog where Nubar - Sexy Red is compared to two other
nail polishes. Zoya - Kristi and American Apparel - Downtown LA.
Seems I can take Downtown LA off my wish list. Comparison post.

Nubar Reclaim Swatched

Here comes pictures and swatches of the third polish
from my recent Polish and Eyeshadow HaulI can not
understand why I didn't get Nubar- Reclaim sooner. I
love green, and who can resist a holographic polish?!

Reclaim is from the Going Green Collection, from 2009. It's a bright
grass green linear holo. The application is smooth and easy in two thin
coats. No fuss and no balding. Sadly I don't have a sunshine picture
of this polish so the holographic effect don't come off as very strong.

With Nubar - Reclaim as base color. I stamped (ringfinger
and thumb) with XL Plate C using Konad - Pastel Green.

Do you have Reclaim? Do you love/hate it?
Are you still lemming for this holographic polish?

Nubar Prize Swatched

Nubar - Prize
Nubar - Prize

Here comes an other polish from my Polish and Eyeshadow Haul.
Nubar - Prize is from the Nubar Prisms Collection from 2010 I think.

Nubar - Prize

Prize is a bit sheer so I did three coats of it. It can look a bit chunky
without top coat so I recommend slapping on a coat to get it smooth.

On my Nubar - Prize I added stamping with
XL Plate B using StarGazer Chrome - 234.

Nubar Gem Swatched

Nubar - Gem
Nubar - Gem (Natural Light)

Here comes the first pictures and swatches of a
polish from my recent Polish and Eyeshadow Haul.

Today I have swatches of Nubar - Gem from the Prism
Collection. This is a soft light brown that flashes dusty pink.
The holographic effect comes from prismatic particles in
the polish, making the effect more scattered than linear.

Nubar - Gem (Natural Light)

Gem is a bit sheer so I did three coats of it. It can look a bit chunky
without top coat so I recommend slapping on a coat to get it smooth.

Nubar - Gem

I stamped an image with Konad - Black Pearl from XL Plate D.
Somehow I managed to smudge rest of the stamped nails on my
picture hand so there is only one picture. I know it is kinda lame.

Too Faced - Matte Eye

Too Faced - Matte Eye

Here comes the first item from my recent Polish and Eyeshadow
Haul. First up is the Too Faced - Matte Eye eyeshadow palette.

How do I create a modern matte eye?

The modern way to wear matte is to keep it soft, sophisticated
and a little sexy. My matte Eye kit combines the best of both
warm and cool tones in easy to wear, suede neutrals. It will have
you looking polished and pretty in a flash, without the flash!

- Jerrod Blandino, Too Faced Founder Matte Eye Expert
Text at the back of the palette.

Too Faced - Matte Eye

In the lid you have three cards showing you how you could use each
section of the palette. They are devided into Day, Classic and Fashion.
I have been doing my makeup for so long that I don't think I will use them.

Now onto the Pictures and Swatches of the eyeshadows. First row
is neutrals where Coffee Bean looks greenish, in some lights it is and
in others it is brown. Second row is grey tone where the last shadow is
a smoggy greyish navy blue. Last row has the pink share Fresh Linen
that seems to blend in my skin very well. I love it how they have made
the lighter shadows big. Because atleast I always use up them first.

Too Faced - Matte Eye

Swatches are done on bare skin with no primer. Photo taken in daylight.

Swatches of Too Faced Matte Eye Palette

This palette is very usable with its matte shadows. I reach for it a lot as it
has shades from light to dark. The packagin is really cute but feels a bit bulky.

Polish and Eyeshadow - Haul

Nubar Nail Polish, Too Faced - Matte Eye (Gift Box and Pouch for shades).

My Beauty Bay order came a while ago. Let's have a
look at what I got. As I am a sucker for matte eyeshadow,
well let's be honest, a sucker for eyeshadow, I wanted to
try out the Too Faced - Matte Eye eye shadow palette.

L-R: Nubar - Reclaim, Sexy Red, Prize and Gem

Now that I finally have Nubar - Reclaim I can say that I waited
way too long to get it. If you like Holographic polish you should
get it. If you like green polish you should get it. If you like green
holographic polish then... What are you waiting for? Go get it!

I got some free gifts with my order from Beauty Bay. A sample
of Too Faced - Shadow Insurance and a pouch for keeping my
sun shades in. Beauty Bay also offers an option to buy a gift
box and I did. It is the sparkly box that you see under the stuff.

I will be showing you more pictures and swatches of the
Eye Shadow Palette and the Nail Polishes in upcoming posts.

Magnetic Dusty Damask Stamping

I have so many ideas about stamping in my head that it is
hard to get any of them out. I can't make up my mind of where
to start. I also have many polishes to swatch and show you. I'm
trying to combine the new polishes with all the stamping ideas.

It is not always possible to do that as I might not have
polish in my untrieds that matches the idea in my head.
But when playing with my new DRK-A Plate I came up
with this damask stamping. And I have to say: I'm in love!

As the base I have Magnetic Force - SCI-FI. It is the polish I
showed you in THIS POST. On top of that I stamped a damask
image from my new DRK-A plate using Konad - Black Pearl.
Then I applied a yellow rhinestone in the center of each nail.

SCI-FI - Magneti Force by Color Club

Today I have for you Magnetic Force by Color Club - SCI-FI.
This one is a but thicker in consistency than the other Magnetic
Force polish I showed you HERE. So you could get away with
applying one coat. For the photos I applied two. No Top Coat.

Magnetic Force by Color Club - SCI-FI

Create unique nail art designs in seconds. Just apply MAGNETIC
FORCE nail lacquer to nails. While polish is still wet, hover the magnetic
cap holding it still over the nail for 15 seconds. Be careful not to touch the
wet polish! When you remove the cap an eye-catching pattern will appear.

Magnetic Force by Color Club - SCI-FI

I tried to apply Water Decals from Born Pretty Store but the
result was meh. I have to come up with something better than this.

Magnetic Magenta Giraffe Stamping

I just had to add something to my new Magnetic polish I showed
you in THIS POST. It was the Magnetic Force  - Hipnotic polish.
So why not use my new DRIKK Image Plate I got as a gift for beeing
awesome, DRK-A. I used StarGazer - 235 for the stamping on this.

At first I did not think that the pattern was anything. But then it hit me when I
uploaded the photos here that it is giraffe spots. Now I'm trying to imagine the
spots a nice brown, maybe with glitter and the print in a light neutral cream.

For the stamping on the thumb I used the soft XL stamper. (I got
mine from Magno Nails. I don't like their customer service, or
the lack of it). And do you see how the stamping is not perfect?!

At first I thought that it was just me or the polish I was using. But
when stamp after stamp is like that, and trying different polishes, it
is still like that, then it just has to be the stamper. On the other
nails I used my Konad Stamper and those prints are just fine.

HIPNOTIC - Magnetic Force by Color Club

Magnetic Force by Color Club - HIPNOTIC

I totally regret not getting on the wagon for magnetics sooner.
I just did not get it. But now that I have tried it I SEE what it is all
about. It seems like the polish is alive on your nails when you
move your hand and look at them from different angles.

This is Magnetic Force by Color Club - HIPNOTIC. You need to
apply two coats of this. Wait for the first one to dry before applying
the second coat. And then you go nail by nail. Polish on, place the
magnet over the nail for a few seconds. Move on to next nail. I
applied top coat for the photos. (All photos taken in natural light).

The cap comes off the top so you don't have to hold the cap with brush and
everything over your nail. Makes sence as it is a whole lot easier this way.
